The profession's recognized certification - a train-the-trainer program built on actual transporter job tasks and educational research, delivered through three tiers that teach the what, the why, and the how. Most programs only teach the what.
CHT-1 · The WHAT
Technical Skills Training. Core job tasks and safe transport practices: patients' rights, infection control, equipment proficiency, BLS skills, safe movement, and special situations (MRI, cardiac cath, O₂ and more). Meets Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals and Environment of Care mandates.
10 hrs class · 2 wks OJT · 80-item validation kit + observed capstone
CHT-2 · The WHY
Choices: Ethics for the Workplace. Nine modules of life and interpersonal skills - self-esteem, courtesy, emotional maturity, conscientiousness, trustworthiness, job commitment, safe performance, and recognizing work-disruptive behaviors. Transporters call it life-changing, on and off the job.

Strategic Skill Building. Applied cognitive strategies using real job materials and scenarios: professional communication, interpreting procedural directions, recognizing changing conditions, prioritization, prediction, and decision-making - the thinking skills that separate outstanding performers.
